About this artwork
Triptych "Montenegro" from 2015. was a result of sensational impression that their road trip left on them. Jelena Antic and her love (now husband) were traveling by car through many EU countries that year. Powerful Montenegro's sun, refreshing cold water and silent flame that was rising between them (also names of these 3 beauties) in June and July that year was a great inspiration for her, both coloristic and emotional, and are now a significant… part of their unique love story.
Note: paintings is available for sale, but they are located in Belgrade and shipping might be slower, since she is not there to pack it.
« Aesthetics and intellect are the most powerful ways of communication »
Icelandic painter Jelena Antic's work has been exhibited throughout Serbia, Iceland, and the United States. Antic works in acrylic and sometimes spray paint to create series inspired by subjects ranging from the Icelandic glacial rivers to metaphysics. Antic paints very quickly, so she often works in diptychs so she can continue working on the same idea while the paint of the first work dries. Antic's works are bright, conceptual, and often involve abstract patterns.
