About this artwork
This work represents her individual perception of the spacetime constant. The whole series and the concept itself is inspired by theoretical physics. The visual side of the series is directly inspired by cosmological simulation of the universe performed by Risa Wechsler and her team at KAVLI Institute.
Risa Wechsler is a professor of physics at Stanford University, director of the Kavli Institute. She combines large numerical simulations with data… from the largest existing and future galaxy surveys to model and map out the evolution and contents of the Universe from its earliest moments to the present day. She and her group are mapping out tens of billions of galaxies over more than 13 billion years of the Universe's history.
Artworks from this series are in minimalistic, hard edge abstract style and have roots in constructivism.
Painting is a statement piece of large format. Not framed, but stretched on a supporting fra ready to hang

Icelandic painter Jelena Antic's work has been exhibited throughout Serbia, Iceland, and the United States. Antic works in acrylic and sometimes spray paint to create series inspired by subjects ranging from the Icelandic glacial rivers to metaphysics. Antic paints very quickly, so she often works in diptychs so she can continue working on the same idea while the paint of the first work dries. Antic's works are bright, conceptual, and often involve abstract patterns.
