About this artwork

Instead of just painting with a brush Antic was using stencils and tape lines in order to bring her works to a new level. To give it some kind of order but combine it with her recognizable expression and brush moves.
Inspired by Theoretical Physics explaining super massive black holes.

Icelandic painter Jelena Antic's work has been exhibited throughout Serbia, Iceland, and the United States. Antic works in acrylic and sometimes spray paint to create series inspired by subjects ranging from the Icelandic glacial rivers to metaphysics. Antic paints very quickly, so she often works in diptychs so she can continue working on the same idea while the paint of the first work dries. Antic's works are bright, conceptual, and often involve abstract patterns.
