This piece is part of a series of small works depicting abstract black and white images inspired by the human form.
This artwork is an original, signed and stamped.
The final work is meticulously produced by sketching, layering and building of different mediums, photographing and reworking digitally until the perfect result is obtained. This is a personal and unpredictable process which makes each piece unique and yet part of the whole series.… The appearance of various textures and forms are a result of fine painting and sketching techniques achieved prior to digital reworking and after the printing itself.
The images are printed in a photo laboratory on high-quality 308g Hahnemühle paper and then re-worked again in artist' atelier using charcoal, ink, acrylic, pencil and pastels. The combination of the techniques and imagery provide endless mystery for the viewer reflecting the human form and its nature.

Jelena Remetin is an award-winning painter and photographer based in Croatia whose works have been extensively exhibited nationally, as well as in France, Germany, Malta, and Andorra. Her art uniquely fuses new technologies with traditional painting styles which she feels is an authentic way of representing two modes of existence. Remetin's compositions portray the 'endless mystery' of reflection on the human form and its nature, inspired by the cruelty and beauty of life, from man's strength and the violence of being.
