The proportions of these triangles were inspired by a Lynn Chadwick sculpture. There's something alive and dynamic about these particular angles and ratios. In this painting the tribe of triangles posses a magnificent majesty and complex intelligence. The feeling is that although they are slowly drifting in the abstract 'scape', they have a clear alignment, direction and purpose or intent. An epic journey through a strange dimension. of veil- like structures also penetrates and interacts with the triangles along with giving a sense of a heightened and deepened spacial field.
The 'intelligence' here is alien and highly abstracted, springing from the artist's interest in the idea that consciousness itself is the plenum of all possible realities. There are undoubtedly configurations of consciousness that are way beyond current views and perspectives, yet they are all interconstellated and riddled with gateways.
