About this artwork

"Il miracolo" (The miracle) is a celebration of the miracle of the Earth's rotation around its axis every single day, and the meeting of the earth and sky for a brief instant as the planet rotates. It is dedicated to the grand fire in the sky in the Rocky Mountains. The painting is made with dramatic brush work.
In creating this piece, I poured my soul into the blend of hues, capturing emotion's raw essence. Oil allows me to build layers, each stroke… a breath of light. The abstract form dances with expressionism, embodying life's beautiful chaos. This piece is a promise of inspiration, igniting a spectrum of feelings in any space it graces.

There is a poetry in the natural world, a lyrical beauty and power. My work is a meditation on my own connection to the majesty of the natural world. I am a recent cancer survivor, and my latest body of work reflects the light I sought at the end of the tunnel, the light I capture from the natural world and transmute into my paintings. My work is an expression of my own will to thrive and live, even through the most intense suffering.
My paintings have been exhibited in Europe and the USA, and are part of private collections in 18 countries.
I live for half the year in the mountains of northern Italy, and for the other half in the Colorado Rockies.
My experience defeating breast cancer is the driving force behind my body of work this year. The power of nature is the power of life.
