About this artwork
Painting this place is one of my greatest joys as an artist. I have painted it many times, iterations of my own imaginary timeline, blooming or waning. I like to think of these landscapes scattered around the globe in the homes of my collectors, opening up portals of light, moving and changing with the seasons and the time of day, ever-changing worlds offering a place of peace and contemplation to those people lingering before them.
I believe creating… this light is why I am here. It is why I paint.
"Whimsical" is that place. The flutter of the leaves and air moving through a lavender field.
It is a place to fall into. To breathe. To be.
So, so very inspiring and beautiful🤍
Made with an ethereal violet palette, with sections of gold pigment, and green fluttering leaves.

« My paintings are an ode to life, to becoming, and to majesty. They are a reminder to take a moment to release the trappings of the mundane, to be still. »
Just featured in GALERIE MAGAZINE and ELLE DECOR!
There is a poetry in the natural world, a lyrical beauty and power. My work is a meditation on my own connection to the majesty of the natural world. I am a recent cancer survivor, and my latest body of work reflects the light I sought at the end of the tunnel, the light I capture from the natural world and transmute into my paintings. My work is an expression of my own will to thrive and live, even through the most intense suffering.
My paintings have been exhibited in Europe and the USA, and are part of private collections in 18 countries.
I live for half the year in the mountains of northern Italy, and for the other half in the Colorado Rockies.
My experience defeating breast cancer is the driving force behind my body of work this year. The power of nature is the power of life.
