About this artwork
Jennifer finds that November has a way of unleashing the desire to add even more colour to the world around her and the latest series entitled 'Exuberance' is a result of this creative urge. After adding one or two base layers, with the canvas on the easel, consequent colours are added by laying the canvas on the floor and throwing and shaking and swirling colours around – à la Pollock.
Movement is essential at this stage and moving around the canvas… energetically adds to the excitement of adding new layers. Gestural abstraction is the name of this game, as Jennifer accepts the challenge to convert inner emotions to external display. The colour palette is bright and bold – as befitting an exuberant painting.

Jennifer Moore-Tymowska is an award-winning artist based in France, Poland and Canada whose paintings have been exhibited internationally. She describes her works as being energetically expressive – marked by gestural abstraction and intense exploration of color. Moore-Tymowska's artistic practice is both rhythmic and intuitive, exploring the effects of colorful patterns. Her bold compositions are created with acrylics on both stretched and unstretched canvas. While large formats are her preferred choice, she also enjoys creating small format works that can be more spontaneously collected.
