About this artwork
"Crossing Over" is closely tied to my own journey. A few years ago, I left my home in Germany to start a completely new chapter in Texas. What first felt like a leap into the unknown turned out to be one of the richest experiences of my life.
This painting is about that feeling, the courage to leave the familiar behind, the gentle act of letting go, and the wonder of discovering what waits along the way. As I created it, the colors and textures emerged… almost on their own, reflecting all those small moments of joy, excitement, and personal growth that have shaped my path.
Through "Crossing Over", I hope to inspire others to take their own steps into something new. To show how much beauty and unexpected light can be found when we dare to move beyond our comfort zones. For me, this piece is a warm reminder that every transition, no matter how big or small, has the power to make our lives richer and more colorful.
