About this artwork
This piece is about subtly, it is about the busyness behind a quiet exterior, staying calm when feeling a bit uncalm, feeling worried whilst trying to soothe myself. I painted it wtih movement and colour in mind, in a bid to try and capture feelings of quiet joy and confidence. I love it, I feel it worked. Jenny Fox is an artist based in Ireland whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally and in the United States. She is fascinated by compositions and the movement of the eye around the picture plane using minimal or reductive mark-making. Through her works, Fox endeavors to recreate the memories of moments when "everything feels right", focusing on feelings rather than the event itself.
