About this artwork
This painting shows the a woman in intense ecstasy. Inspired by Edvard Munch's "Madonna", this work exposes the woman and leaves the viewer in a dilemma of their physical perspective; whether or not they are in front of or above her. The beauty of the skin is highlighted as the crucial element of the work, with the long, flowing hair slightly concealing her, and at the same time melting into the background.
