About this artwork
Created during the Covid19 quarantine, this piece is indicative of a liminal period. One reality is over, and the next one hasn't yet begun; it seems like everything is upside down. My own creative work entered a liminal time as well. I found that my normal way of painting wasn't working anymore, and after several weeks of frustration, I decided to turn my process on its head. The result was this painting, and its sister, "Reception", which will…
