About this artwork
This is a triptych consisting of three separate canvases that measure 24" x 24" each. They were created in response to a powerfully bumpy moment of life, in which the coming together of light and dark did not equal gray. These moments can break us, they can heal us, and they can transform us.
My work is inspired by global events, personal moments, human relationships, and happenstances that I observe. I am interested in visually capturing how daily… life feels to people who are living in today's world. As we collectively move through a difficult time, I feel that it is important to pay attention and notice the things that may easily be lost in the clamor of our everyday experience. I hope that my work will serve as documentation of this time.
All of my work is created using high quality paints and mediums. This painting is varnished, gallery-wrapped with black hand-painted edges, wired and ready to hang.

Jessica Eichman is a prizewinning American artist who has exhibited her work in Nashville. The overarching theme in her work is about letting go - of expectations, rules, desires, control and fear.
