About this artwork
This piece deals with relationship. Relationship exists within us and between us. Relationship is the ether that permeates us and bonds us. Everything exists only as it relates to something else. Relationship is time.
My work is inspired by global events, human relationships, and happenstances that I observe. I am interested in capturing how daily life feels to people who are living in today's world. As we move through a difficult and sometimes… absurd moment in time, I feel that it is important to pay attention and notice the things that may easily be lost in the clamor of our everyday experience. I hope that my work will serve as documentation of this time.
All of my work is created using high quality professional paints and mediums. This painting is varnished, gallery-wrapped with black hand-painted edges, wired, and ready to hang.

Jessica Eichman is a prizewinning American artist who has exhibited her work in Nashville. The overarching theme in her work is about letting go - of expectations, rules, desires, control and fear. Seeking to achieve a balance of intention and chance, she works with the painting rather than directing it, arriving at an intentional point of visual chaos.
