About this artwork
This is an abstraction based on the rosetta window space of the Cathedral de Notre Dame. While living in Paris, Puma studied architecture and created this small canvas upon her return home to Philadelphia. She created a work on paper, on which this oil on canvas is based. In tandem with this little canvas, is the the work, "Tympanum." "Tower" and "Tympanum" are exactly the same size and are quite married in the artist's mind. Notre Dame Cathedral…
in Paris is the model for these works. It is the artist's hope that the paintings remain together in a single collection to be shown next to one another.
