About this artwork
I painted this in art therapy, because where's a great artist without the inner turmoil? When my friends look at this they see a pleasant snowy scene, but I see a painting I can't even afford to put on my wall because I had to leave a promising career in nursing to hide in a filthy apartment and paint once a year. Anyways, I liked painting it, and it might look good in your place. I don't fucking care. If it doesn't sell then it ends up in a fire.

Jessica Stepushyn’s art was, and still is, driven by the need to socially isolate herself from “the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune”. The Canadian painter and sculptor’s compositions vary widely in their themes, from the concepts of particle and wave physics to geometry, color, and the subconscious. While Stepushyn ‘shuns realism’, she also isn’t averse to creating silly, generic, or superficial pieces. Her style, techniques, and mediums are in a constant state of evolution.
