About this artwork
BUILDREAMS
BuilDreams is a journey to a dream world where dreams are built. Like the plans that an architect manages, building projects that seem impossible, different photographic compositions that transform the established architectural space, turning this into a new and original vision that separates us from the real, coherent or conventional.
Inspired by Fractal theory of geometry and Escher's mathematical exploration of his infinite compositions,… BuilDreams transports the viewer to an unusual universe that builds its own dreams, between fantasy and reality, transforming our own conception of modern spaces and shapes.

« "Beyond what we see, there is what we are able to perceive. I think that imagination can be the best tool to show reality, my reality." »
Born in Madrid in 1961, Jesús M. Chamizo has spent over three decades engaging with images, exploring photography as a territory where reality is observed, questioned, and transformed. He uses it as a tool for reflecting on space and memory. In a clear defense of art and culture as agents of transformation, his series address the city, architecture, and climate change, offering viewers images that combine visual precision with social responsibility.
He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions, and his work has been recognized internationally. He has received 59 international awards (2018–2025), including: Gold IPA Latin Awards in Architecture, Gold Pano Awards in the Open-Vertical category, recognition as “Best International Architectural Photographer in 2020” (IPA Awards, USA), Gold in Architecture Master Prize 2021 in Public Exterior for “RE-VIEW”, and Gold in PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2022 in Fine Art.
