About this artwork
“The theater can turn the stage into a temple, and that performance space, into something sacred. In South Asia, artists reverently touch the floor of the stage before stepping on it, an ancient tradition where spiritual and cultural intertwine. ”
This is my special tribute to the Temple of the Theater and to what it represents, a noble cultural work that enriches us as human beings.
Contemplated from the stage, we observe that majestic empty space,… which now acquires, in this special moment that we have had to live, a double meaning. Of awe, but also of hope, with a concrete message: "The representation, without a doubt ... will continue"

Born in Madrid in 1961, Jesús M. Chamizo has spent over three decades engaging with images, exploring photography as a territory where reality is observed, questioned, and transformed. He uses it as a tool for reflecting on space and memory. In a clear defense of art and culture as agents of transformation, his series address the city, architecture, and climate change, offering viewers images that combine visual precision with social responsibility.
He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions, and his work has been recognized internationally. He has received 59 international awards (2018–2025), including: Gold IPA Latin Awards in Architecture, Gold Pano Awards in the Open-Vertical category, recognition as “Best International Architectural Photographer in 2020” (IPA Awards, USA), Gold in Architecture Master Prize 2021 in Public Exterior for “RE-VIEW”, and Gold in PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2022 in Fine Art.
