About this artwork
“World Reflexions” explores contemporary architecture within an uncertain territory, where the city appears submerged, reflected, and transformed to the point of becoming almost dreamlike. Iconic spaces, promenades, and emblematic buildings are overtaken by impossible waters that challenge our sense of stability and permanence.
What may initially be perceived as a visual play of reflections and symmetries reveals, upon closer observation, a metaphor… for the climate crisis. These fictional floods do not point only to a hypothetical future, but to a real threat already emerging in many cities. The beauty of the images also serves as a warning.
The series seeks to unsettle the viewer’s gaze and remind us that the architecture we admire today could be transformed or disappear if action is not taken in time, inviting awareness and collective responsibility.

Born in Madrid in 1961, Jesús M. Chamizo has spent over three decades engaging with images, exploring photography as a territory where reality is observed, questioned, and transformed. He uses it as a tool for reflecting on space and memory. In a clear defense of art and culture as agents of transformation, his series address the city, architecture, and climate change, offering viewers images that combine visual precision with social responsibility.
He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions, and his work has been recognized internationally. He has received 59 international awards (2018–2025), including: Gold IPA Latin Awards in Architecture, Gold Pano Awards in the Open-Vertical category, recognition as “Best International Architectural Photographer in 2020” (IPA Awards, USA), Gold in Architecture Master Prize 2021 in Public Exterior for “RE-VIEW”, and Gold in PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2022 in Fine Art.
