About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the raw power of human emotion through expressive and contrasting forms. The monochrome palette accentuates the vulnerability and complexity of the bodies, while the texture of the oil paint infuses a tactile and almost instinctive energy. This piece invites you to feel the tension and intimacy between the figures, offering an intense and palpable presence in your space.

JH primarily uses painting and drawing, drawing on her training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the École Supérieure d'Arts Plastiques in Paris. Her figurative and expressionist technique relies on successive layers of paint, in shades of gold and gray, creating complex and unique works. JH seeks to unveil intimacy and emotion, peeling back layers to reveal the individual's inner story and evoke profound questions in the viewer.
