This large-scale piece is built from hundreds of hand-drawn symbols, patterns, and marks that create a dense, hypnotic field across the entire surface. In the middle of this visual maze, a subtle orange figure appears, a person walking forward.
The work represents the individual journey each of us must take. The orange figure is not outlined; it is revealed through contrast, emerging only when the viewer slows down and looks deeper. This mirrors… the message behind the piece: clarity appears through persistence.
Created during a period marked by the loss of the artist’s parents, Alone, Still Moving carries a strong emotional presence. It is about grief, solitude, and the determination to continue moving, step by step.

My artistic name is Xueka and I'm an artist from Porto, Portugal. I currently live in Matosinhos. Born in 1980, I am both a sculptor and a painter.
