About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the complexity of human emotions through abstraction. Using acrylic, ink and pigments, I created a visual dialogue between light and darkness. The layers and textures suggest a rich and deep inner world, full of mystery, inviting the observer to dive in and explore the nuances of their own psyche. The energy this painting brings is one of quiet reflection and unsettling elegance.

Joëlle Eyraud is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Her works fuse the visible with the invisible, which she describes as a deconditioning of the known and a transcription of the living through an energetic and sensorial approach. Eyraud's abstract expressionist compositions translate themes relating to both nature and humanity with "sensitivity, poetry and lightness".
