About this artwork
This painting was inspired by our visit to Scotland with my Scottish partner Edwin and is based loosely on a tiny colourful fishing village we came across and were intrigued by the Puffin seemingly out of place sitting on the quay on a post, fishing.
. Well I took a photograph and was inspired to do a painting back in the warmth of my Twickenham studio. The solitary puffin brings an introspective narrative against the backdrop of a lively, semi-abstract… Scottish seascape, a dance of nature and civilization.. The painting will be sent ready to hang , carefully wrapped in a box with bubble wrap and with a certificate of authenticity..
« My paintings are very personal and reflect whatever goes on in my life at the time. For me, it has been a life long journey into the soul. »
Jo Tuck’s art reflects the life she lives, the journeys she has undertaken, and changes to embody the events in her experience. The painter and photographer is inspired by color, as well as the modern art movement in Europe in the early 20th century. Tuck’s works range from abstract to figurative, from realist to surrealist. She primarily creates using oil on canvas.
