About this artwork
“The Overheated Planet” stems from my need to transform the climate crisis into pictorial language. In this abstract work, I explore, through Chromanarrativism, how color can reveal invisible tensions: the reds and oranges burn like the planet's inner layers, while the whites and blues fade like vanishing ice.
I work each stroke as if it were an emotional map of the Earth: fractures, seismic movements, areas that are collapsing and others that… still resist. I don't seek to illustrate a disaster, but to show the fragile beauty of a world on the brink. The work vibrates between energy and evaporation, between fire and breath.
For me, this painting is a silent warning: the planet isn't burning alone; it's burning with us. I invite the viewer to feel that intensity, to recognize their own reflection within this landscape that still cries out to be saved.

Born in Austria in 1971, JOWU transformed his life into a work of art. After restoring an ancient castle, he found refuge and truth in painting. A self-taught artist with a solid background in realism, he developed Chromanarrativism: a style born of isolation, where the order of the Bauhaus merges with the intensity of Neo-expressionism, amplified by the narrative of color.
