Chromanarrativism
In The Irony of War, I explore the hidden aesthetics of conflict, power, and destruction. The military green frame acts as a form of camouflage: a visual skin that conceals violence beneath promises of order, control, and security.
Explosive gestures of red, gold, blue, and green clash on the canvas. In my Chromanarrativism, color doesn't decorate: it carries emotional tension. Red becomes an open wound, gold… the seduction of power, while blue and green appear as fragments of life interrupted by war.
I don't represent war literally. I question the systems that allow destruction to produce wealth, influence, and control.

Born in Austria in 1971, JOWU transformed his life into a work of art. After restoring an ancient castle, he found refuge and truth in painting. A self-taught artist with a solid background in realism, he developed Chromanarrativism: a style born of isolation, where the order of the Bauhaus merges with the intensity of Neo-expressionism, amplified by the narrative of color.
