About this artwork
"I painted Inferno from a moment of personal crisis, when everything spiraled out of my control. The dominant red tones symbolize passion and energy, but also anger, despair, and the destructive force of the unpredictable. The dark, almost burnt-out structure in the center of the canvas reflects my sense of helplessness and devastation as I faced unexpected demands from banks, denials of financing, and the impact of rising interest rates.
Each… energetic stroke and chaotic distribution of color are the release of those raw emotions: fear, rage, and helplessness. Inferno is my deeply personal visual testament to what it means to be caught in a whirlwind of uncontrollable events, an honest reflection of a time marked by uncertainty and internal struggle.

Born in Austria in 1971, JOWU transformed his life into a work of art. After restoring an ancient castle, he found refuge and truth in painting. A self-taught artist, he developed Chromanarrativism: a pictorial practice where color ceases to be merely decorative and becomes a vehicle for conveying states of being, tension, and transformation.
International MBA from IMC Krems (Austria) with studies in New York, speaks German, English and Spanish.
Currently, her work is represented and promoted exclusively by the Susana García Castillo gallery in Roquetas de Mar (Spain), from where her exhibitions and the marketing of her works are managed.
