About this artwork
In this work I explore the exact moment when an internal system collapses and reorganizes itself.
From a dark and restrained background, golden structures emerge, traversed by tensions in blue and green. Color does not describe, it acts. It condenses, fractures, and expands in response to an invisible pressure.
I work from the perspective of Chromanarrativism, where color conveys a sense of state. Here, gold does not symbolize light in a decorative… sense, but rather a turning point: the moment when the pictorial matter ceases to resist and begins to transform.
The shapes do not represent wings. They are the result of energy seeking release. Fragments that reorganize themselves after breaking apart.
This work is not about overcoming adversity. It's about the moment before: when there is still no clarity, but change is already inevitable.

Born in Austria in 1971, JOWU transformed his life into a work of art. After restoring an ancient castle, he found refuge and truth in painting. A self-taught artist with a solid background in realism, he developed Chromanarrativism: a style born of isolation, where the order of the Bauhaus merges with the intensity of Neo-expressionism, amplified by the narrative of color.
