About this artwork
“Interior” is more than a nude painting – it is a statement about presence in private space. The woman stands naked in an architecturally clear environment: exposed concrete, geometric lines, reduced design. Yet her body contradicts the coldness. It is soft, alive, unfiltered. Her gaze wanders to the side – not absent, but choosing. The white fabric in her hand is not a veil, but a sign: she decides what is shown. The composition plays with contrasts…
– skin and stone, warmth and construction, intimacy and control. “Interior” asks who owns the space – and who charges it with meaning. The female figure does not stand in the space – she defines it. Beauty is not staged, it exists. And it belongs to no one but herself.

Joachim Bergauer is an internationally acclaimed photographer with a multifaceted, sophisticated style that straddles contemporary art and fashion photography. A surrealist visionary with classical training in fine art, he understands how to merge photography and graphic design into unique works. His minimalist color and black-and-white compositions are reminiscent of the great art movements of the 20th century, influenced by Fauvism, Conceptual Art, and Minimalism. Bergauer experiments with new aesthetic concepts, explores boundaries, and creates works of great inner power. Color and form become carriers of emotion and meaning—graphically clear, metaphorically condensed, stylistically pointed. His visual language combines avant-garde approaches with harmoniously balanced compositions. With over 100 international awards—including "Photographer of the Year" (Japan)—Joachim Bergauer is one of Europe's leading photographers.
