Prague Travels is a poetic black-and-white still life depicting a woman in a vintage corset among open suitcases, as if fleeing from something or herself. Her pose is both lascivious and melancholic; the luxurious clothing contrasts with the lostness of her gaze. The wooden parquet floor, the old leather suitcases, and the empty gaze hint at a bygone era—or one that never truly existed. The woman seems to be part of a forgotten film set, a noir scene…
without dialogue. This work is a commentary on identity in transition—a moment of pause, frozen between arrival and departure, memory and projection. It is the attempt to recognize oneself in the mirror of the things we take with us or leave behind.
