About this artwork
This picture was created after a long, intensive search – not just for the right model, but for a face that carries life. The photograph was created in the studio, but it was only with the digital processing – the drawn lines that appear like inner landscapes – that the true message revealed itself. For me, The Way is a meditation on life: the lighthouse stands for the destination that calls us, even if we cannot see it. The man looks inward – not…
out of resignation, but in concentration. Every brushstroke is a lived moment, a scar, a decision. The light of the lighthouse is not sought, it is felt. This work speaks of orientation in times of darkness – not through external influences, but through attitude.
