About this artwork
I approached slowly, crossing the mountain in the Pyrenees in autumn. I first heard the murmur, and later the thunder of the water cascading over the hard, carved rock floor. Darkness was falling, a fine rain was falling, and through the clouds, the light peeked through, briefly illuminating certain corners—a light that was special to the place. It's impossible to describe the wealth of sensations and the power of the place,… but the memory remains. Something remains. I'm sure it touches some hearts, and meanwhile, the waterfall, the spring, keeps falling, flowing and flowing. Water? Much more than water, do you see?
