About this artwork

DJ sense of humor, adventure, and playfulness was the aspect that first drew me to this little girl. I expressed her charm and personality by rendering in intricate detail her glorious array of accessories - innumerable mother-made bracelets, outsized portrait ring, the cartoon band-aid on her hand, and the Chinese soup spoon she insisted on using that morning for breakfast. All presented carefully as not to take away from that beautiful face (that… smirk, the dimples, and twinkle in her bright eyes) captured just a few second before she breaks into a smile.
