Joanne Reed’s expressive and magically realistic works are a communication about life and the profound nature of our existence. The UK painter’s atmospheric and evocative compositions depict landscapes as well as the figurative, sometimes combining the two. Reed gains inspiration for her art from found imagery and photographs, forming autobiographical pieces that also blend into the realm of the abstract. She creates mainly using oils and watercolors and enjoys adding vivid blocks of colors into her work.
