This triptych was created using raw steel plate and gold leaf. The metal is rusted using various techniques, contrasting with the gold leaf. Unlike the steel, gold does not rust. It stays perfectly intact, and represents permanence against the changeability of most of nature.

Joel Douek is an experienced sculptor from the United States whose work has been featured in solo and group shows nationally.
