About this artwork
This table is intended as a functional sculpture, made with a slab of recovered silver maple wood. It features a prominent vein of 24K Gold Leaf, embedded into the wood.
As with much of my work, this piece explores the imperfections and fractals of naturally found materials, contrasted with the simplicity and permanence embodied in Gold.

« My hope is simply for people to connect with my work directly, to share a fascination in the natural forms and colors, a link from my subconscious to yours, without the need for a reason. »
