About this artwork
To celebrate the world-famous Danish poet H.C.Andersen in 2005 I painted this in two layers to the exhibition. Behind his ‘Moellemanden’, papercut with scissors, one can see what are typical for him. H.C.Andersen likes to be photographed with white gloves, high black hat, silver plated walking stick. The red theater carpet is pulled aside. Performance can begin: the dancer flanked by ‘Ole Luk-Oie’. Grain was yellow, stork was humming, swallow chirped.…
His fairy tales have inspired me to make figure paintings.
