About this artwork
Collage with spray paint and acrylic on wood.
This piece is an ode to the resistance to the crisis of COVID-19 as well as a tribute to the environment. All the materials used, from the newspaper clippings to the wooden support, are recycled items found on the street. The objective of the work is to make the viewer understand that the scarcity of materials means that we can continue creating but learning to use what we already have and give it… the value they deserve.

JoGis Art is a Spanish painter and sculptor whose pieces have been exhibited nationally and internationally. His works always reference both personal and collective freedom, as well as his love for the characters from his childhood. JoGis's compositions echo a modern street and urban style; bright colors with neon tones unify pop art figures and elements such as money, luxury brands, music, fashion, and iconic cartoon characters.
