About this artwork
In creating this sculpture, I poured my fascination with the resilience of the human spirit into every crevice of the cast iron. It stands freestanding, a testament to emotional and physical fortitude. Its textured surface captures the complexity of our journey, resonating with the viewer's own experiences. This piece invites contemplation and will add a profound depth to any space, exuding an aura of strength and contemplation.

« I'm interested in contradictions … Putting contradictory pieces together: colors, shapes that don't fit. Basically, that's what I do: I like putting things together; ugly things, broken, things that don't fit… »
Johan P. Jonsson is an experienced Swedish sculptor who’s exhibited in France, Norway, Sweden, the US. His sculptures explore postures and poses of people, and interactions between them; displaying influences from outsider art and working in metal and mixed media.
