About this artwork
Heather was born from a visual shock. During an exhibition at the Yves Saint Laurent Foundation dedicated to the creative process, a wall covered with behind-the-scenes polaroids struck me: a landscape of images of work, tests, numbers, bodies waiting to be chosen.
I kept this idea of a living archive and transposed it into the painting. In the center, Heather appears as a casting icon. Large black hat rimmed in red, carmine lips, red polka-dot… dress and three-dimensional flower: a theatrical elegance, poised on the edge of the set. The background, in flat planes and fragments (deep blue, dense green, gold stripes), acts as a recomposed studio wall.
At the bottom of the artwork, a turquoise LED neon sign highlights the scene like a luminous shop window. The handwritten inscriptions read:
"HEATHER – 5950 – PE92 – 54", a nod to the casting archiving systems of fashion houses, where each look was precisely documented.

A multidisciplinary artist originally from Sète, my work stages reality at the tipping point between fantasy and tension, brilliance and fragility. I compose figures and environments where color, matter, and light reveal what lies beneath the surface. The question of identity runs through all of my work: the feminine, often central, oscillates between power and vulnerability, between social role and inner life. Sometimes everyday objects, bordering on abstraction, become the setting for this tension. The works are constructed through layers of paper, fabric, lace, wood, and found materials, mixed with acrylics, inks, and oil pastels. The contrasts, sometimes reinforced by black and white, establish a direct presence. The LED neon line, when it appears, acts as a luminous fracture: it exposes, underlines, and illuminates. Between figuration and abstraction, I seek a sensitive form that questions what we show and what we do.
