About this artwork
This is a First Larger Patchwork Painting.An Idea which i started on during the Lockdown period in 2021.
Using Aluminium as a Support for the paint I fist used a general combinations of Colour to created a Monochrome Surface.Not satisfied ultimately with the one tone surface.I started to paint the shapes which were suggested by the outlines of the market left on the surface by the application of painting the surface previously. The paint underneath… also added to the viscosity of paint and the structure lent itself to dividing the painting into equal sections of colour.I really enjoy the results and also the connection Colour Wise with my recent Jamaican Series.
