About this artwork
a minimalist canvas, but with a lot of techniques. Here you have about twenty layers of pigmentations very fluidized with inks.
Between some of these layers there is, in places, applied a structure made with mineral and vegetable matter. All layers are transparent to leave a lot of different colors that appear on the final surface. The final color is therefore very interesting and delicately changing with the light throughout the day. Subsequently… the artist applied precious metals and other fibers to create the "vibrations" which dance here on the canvas to the rhythm of your mood. Metals used on the different vibrations: 18, 20 and 22 karats of yellow gold, 2-4 copper alloys, 20 karat white and gray gold and silver.
All metals are protected against oxidation.

John Gormsen is an experienced artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Spain, Denmark, and Belgium. For him, aestheticism is of vital importance, as he believes that it is both soothing and calming. Gormsen creates in a distinctive abstract style that favors the principles of balance. In his artistic process, he most often employs acrylics, collage, and pen on linen.
