Inspired by the Romantic painters of the 18th century, and following their ideals of nature, here we have a pastoral scene featuring the cows that have been lying down during the shower.. and one who has got to his feet and is scratching his chin on the others horn.
I had been photographing the young bullocks in the field in front of my studio for many months and I thought this scene lent itself to a classical approach.
