About this artwork
I wanted to use the circular format to focus on a particular detail that I found attractive. In this case the sun falling on a golden leaf, providing a center of attention and making in stand out from the busy background. Continuing my search for a complete painting , I decided to paint a gold frame around it before finishing things off with a painted wooden surround. It took many attempts to get the background color and frame in harmony. Hopefully…
