About this artwork
How fast can you go before loosing control? John relates the issue of control to painting, how far can you push a painting before loosing it entirely? However, he believes that loosing control is sometimes the best and most needed part in painting so that instinct and intuition can take over. Spontaneity is where creativity flourishes because when we do only what we know it limits our capacity to learn and grow.
