  • Works on commission
John Ndupu, a Nigerian American painter and visual artist, trained at Yaba College of Technology, Cleveland Institute of Arts, and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, creates works rooted in NSIBIDI and ULI traditions. He uses dynamic techniques in his unique “Aggressive Ulism” style—melding fluid lines, abstract African motifs, and spiritual symbolism—to vividly express cultural reclamation and African heritage. His art is a passionate, emotionally-charged celebration, protest, and preservation of identity, pulsating with the spirit of storytelling and resistance against erasure.
