About this artwork
This is a portrait study of one of my favourite musicians. I love the colour and form of this arrangement with the slight blurring of the background and the way the light catches and bounces off the instruments. nI have worked the canvas quickly, using expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours.
I have always loved the moody atmosphere of jazz venues and plan to do more art in this vein.
