Hi,
This is the latest in my Rothko sequence which I love to paint.
The abstract composition is divided into horizontal zones of vibrant colour. Each has been created by successive washes of thin paint to create an effect which is 'alive' and engrossing.
The colours used are complimentary with the blazing red/orange in the centre contrasting pleasingly with the emerald/purple band at the top..
