My painting “Withered Sunflowers” is an acrylic painting that captures the end of the sunflower and summer season and emphasizes transience with a raw, emotional quality.
The painting depicts a field of withered sunflowers with heavy, drooping flower heads, their stems appearing thin and dark against a textured, light background.
I applied splashes of paint to the canvas to create a sense of movement and energy that contrasts with the hanging shapes… of the flowers.
The blending colors and expressive brushstrokes create a vibrant, yet melancholic and contemplative atmosphere that fills your space with emotional depth and vintage charm. It is an homage to the beauty found in fading.
As an artist, I am always looking for dialogue, for the emotional connection that arises between me, my work, and you as the viewer.
