About this artwork
I painted this watercolor, an impressionistic still life, in bright blues and yellows to convey a serene atmosphere that perfectly matched my mood during my trip through Southern Europe. I painted it with great joy, spontaneously and quickly, using free, flowing brushstrokes to suggest dynamic movement and lightness. The bright oranges and yellows symbolize joie de vivre, while the flowing blues convey tranquility. Painted using the wet-on-wet technique,… a technique that blurs the forms.
This work invites you to feel a moment of lightness and experience the energy of nature in the middle of your room. It brings lightness and optimism into your home.
As an artist, I am always looking for dialogue, for the emotional connection that arises between me, my work, and you as the viewer.
