« A large part of what I do comes from a love of machines and all things mechanical, however the form is borrowed from the immensely complex and elegant lines of nature. It is this unlikely but intriguing symbiosis of these passions that drives what I do. »
Jon Voss is an established sculptor and painter based in France, whose works have been held in national collections, exhibitions and events in Australia, the UK and France. He considers his work as both a boyish fascination with the industrialized modern world and an anchor for ecological and moral reflection. He constructs sculptures that explore the impacts of human actions on natural wonders, twisting industrial materials into subjects of nature, and vice-versa. Voss's overall aesthetic is thought-provoking and visually striking.
